Activities Coordinator

Summerset

Aotea, Waikato

Category Hospitality & Catering Jobs

At Summerset we are here to bring the best of life to our residents. To do this, we know we need to take care of our people to form a team who are strong enough to care, operate as one team, and strive to do their best. We are looking for an energetic and creative Activities Coordinator to join our Aotea village.

Ideally you will have experience in events, hospitality or aged care, but more important to us will be your genuine love for all kinds of people from all walks of life. You will plan and facilitate a programme of activities and exciting events for our residents, providing quality resident support, managing vulnerable residents and communications with families. You will need to be kind, patient and have great communication skills, while a good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best exercise programmes, regular outings, sporting and recreational events.

You will need to be super organised, have an awesome positive attitude, and the ability to work autonomously but also as part of a wider team. You will be able to put your unique spin on the events programme you offer, but the real bonus of this job is the great relationships you can build with the village residents. It is truly a rewarding job.

You will also have the ability to work 5 days a week, a minimum of 80 hours per fortnight. Occasionally you may have to work in the evenings or on weekends due to events. To recognise the important work that you do for our residents, we offer: an enthusiastic and supportive team that is fun to be part of health cover, social sporting teams and discounts at a range of suppliers plus much more.

If you, or someone you know, are strong enough to care, then we would love to hear from you. The safety of our residents and staff is important to us. For this reason, we require all our employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before commencing work at Summerset.

Due to NZ Immigration requirements we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first. Due to this we may not be able to support a visa application for this role. This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment Please note, only suitable applicants will be contacted.
