Enjoy flexibility in your work Fantastic work-life balance We are seeking a highly motivated Administration Officer to join our fantastic Medical Ward in Dunedin Hospital on a casual as and when required basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting flexibility to fit their hours around other commitments. M te tranga | About the role The Administration Officer will effectively contribute to the smooth running of the service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the ever-changing needs of the service and organisation.
This role will carry out a wide range of administrative and reception duties and providing essential support to other staff members within the team. Administrative tasks will include but are not limited to answering phones, reception cover, maintaining patient information (both electronically and in hard copy), database maintenance and ordering supplies. Our successful candidate will provide valuable annual leave or sick leave cover, or just when need an extra pair of capable hands.
It is therefore important that you have a degree of flexibility and can pick up shifts often at short notice. Mu ake | About you You must be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, who has a high attention to detail. You must also be comfortable interacting with a variety of people and attending to issues that arise usually at the same time We ask that in your application you demonstrate how your previous work experience in administration and/or customer service roles has honed your ability to prioritise and juggle tasks, within demanding timeframes.
