Kia ora Air New Zealand at Nelson Airport have Permanent Part time Aircraft Service Agent opportunities available. Aircraft Service Agents work "back of house" - out on the tarmac, in the baggage room, working with baggage and cargo. Playing a key role in the operation at Nelson Airport, you will be working both indoors and outdoors, up close alongside a variety of aircraft and machinery.
The role is physically demanding so being fit and keen to work in a physical environment is important. The varied duties will include baggage and cargo handling, and aircraft interior cleaning. You will need to be comfortable working in tight spaces on the smaller Q300 and ATR aircraft.

Role Requirements Entitled to work in New Zealand at the time of applying Full or Restricted New Zealand Drivers Licence Experience working in a physically challenging role, in a safety conscious environment Hardworking, and motivated to do your best for our customers in a safe and timely manner Resilient, with good time management and the ability to adjust to changing deadlines and priorities Shift Work Roster Part Time roles include rostered shift work which rotates and changes, depending on the business needs and flight schedule. The shift lengths can be between 3 and 10 hours duration although generally are somewhere in between.
Your shifts could start as early as 0445 am and finish as late as 2230 pm. You need to be flexible to work weekends, nights and public holidays. For Part Time employees the minimum rostered hours are 36 hours per fortnight, up to a maximum of 72 hours per fortnight.
