Full time, Permanent position available, based at Auckland City Hospital Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity nestled amongst the foothills of Maungakiekie, Greenlane Surgical Unit boasts an impressive eight- theatre day stay unit and teaching hospital that is progressive and innovative, nurturing a culture of Manaaktanga and Whakawhnangatanga as the base of their care. The role of Clinical Coach is a full time, permanent position within the General Surgical Unit team (part of Perioperative directorate). The focus of this role is to work clinically with Anaesthesia technician trainees, Medical Sciences work based assessment (WBA) candidates and return to work candidates either in a preceptor or support role, providing guidance, clinical education and feedback.

You will be able to navigate, not just the students journey but also the necessary relationships with each Charge Anaesthetic technician to provide a seamless transition through their placements. This is your chance to further your Anaesthetic Technician career and be a part of the team that will facilitate the exciting new change to our professions training. A typical day in this role will involve - Develop teaching sessions.

Provide mentorship during clinical placements. Organise clinical competence assessments Involved in Regional exam preparation. Nga Pkenga Motuhake | Important Skills To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following: Registered Anaesthetic Technician with Medical Sciences Council NZ A minimum of 8 years post-qualifying clinical experience, and previous proven experience in education, and be able to adapt and inspire our next generation of critical thinkers in the field of Anaesthetic Assistance.
