Kia mau, kia ita, kia - haumi e, hui e, tiki e Te Tranga | About the role As an Assistant Library and Community Hub Leader you will welcome and assist community members to access library services (including physical and digital resources, programmes and events) and be the first point of contact for enquiries relating to Council's services. This position is responsible for management of the Library team when the Library and Community Hub Leader is absent.
This is a full time role primarily based at Ppmoa Library providing excellent customer service to the community. The hours of work are 40 hours per week, worked Sunday to Thursday. Some of your responsibilities will include: Providing information to customers about Council services, community engagement, bylaws, policies, and procedures across a range of council activities.
Assisting with the promotion, booking and delivery of library programmes Managing health and safety situations that affect staff and customers Training staff in library and council processes and procedures Rostering staff across a 7 day week, as well as spreadsheeting staffing requirements for the future Upskilling knowledge of Te Ao Mori, library databases, computer programmes, changes in technology, health and safety.
