Board Member - Olympia Gymnastic Sports Location: Christchurch Olympia Gymnastic Sports is a thriving gymnastics club in Christchurch, dedicated to enriching people's lives through gymnastics. Our coaches are focused on delivering a wide variety of quality movement classes that meet the needs of our community in a safe, positive environment, and offering opportunities for participants at all levels. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and fostering a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, Olympia Gymnastic Sports is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join its Board of Directors.

As a Board Member at Olympia Gymnastic Sports , you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the club and ensuring it continues to thrive and provide a world-class experience for its members. Your involvement will directly impact the lives of our members and the broader community. In this role you will: Contribute to the strategic planning, governance, and overall management of Olympia Gymnastic Sports.

Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, goals, and objectives for the club. Provide financial expertise and oversight to ensure sound fiscal management, including budgeting and financial planning. Contribute to the development of risk management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all members.

We are looking for two candidates who have: Strong commitment to the mission and values of Olympia Gymnastic Sports rts. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals. Excellent communication and networking skills.

Passion for sports, gymnastics, and youth development. Understanding of the New Zealand gymnastics community and the local sports landscape. Time Commitment and Term The successful candidates will be appointed for a term of two (2)-years and can be re-appointed for additional terms.

The OGS Board meet monthly on the last Wednesday of each month. Occasionally there will be face to face meetings which will require attendance as well as attendance at the Annual General Meeting. Remuneration This role is on a voluntary basis.
