As a Group, they: drive the National Risk Approach to support evidence-based, future-focused strategic government decision-making that strengthens New Zealand's long-term resilience to our most significant hazards and threats. provide strategic governance support to the collectives of Chief Executives that make up the National Security Board, and the Hazard Risk Board. provide stewardship and leadership to the country's all-of-government strategic crisis management arrangements, strengthening agencies' readiness capabilities and enabling coordinated and effective responses to nationally significant crisis events.
M tnei tranga mahi | About this role The Business Support Administrator supports the delivery of key work programmes in the National Security Group and Risk and System Governance Group. You will provide proactive, high quality business support services to the Director National Risk, the Director Governance, and our Strategic Coordinators responsible for driving interagency collaboration on key threats to Aotearoa's national security. Working closely with our staff, the key aspects of the role will include: Providing high-quality administrative support including committee meetings and major event coordination, production and circulating of agendas, collation of papers, minute-taking, arranging resources and visitor forms, travel booking arrangements, and undertaking financial processes Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with Directors, Strategic Coordinators, team members and external stakeholders (including interagency partners and public stakeholders) A full job description is attached.
Ko wai koe | About you The successful candidate will have experience and demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: Excellent administration, coordination, organisational and IT skills, including minute taking and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Quick to learn new IT systems (e.g.
finance management systems, travel booking and internal file systems) Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to build quality working relationships at all levels Attention to detail, being open to feedback and adapting to new approaches Ability to prioritise and solve problems in a calm and professional manner Supporting a solutions-focused and inclusive workplace, including willingness to grow Mori capability and cultural competence as part of team-wide and organisational efforts.
