M te tnga | About the role The Materiel Support Wing Business Performance Team was established to work through long term support requirements and initiatives for the Ohakea Aircraft Fleets. Working within this team, the Capability Sustainment Manager has the following key responsibilities: Provide quality assessments of aeronautical Through Life Support. Pro-active shaping of the obsolescence in-service management practices, such as data capture, analysis, risk reporting and recommendations.
Make recommendations and provide technical advice to key stakeholders within NZDF. Support the constantly evolving requirements and ongoing long term/strategic considerations. Act as liaison/ intermediary both internally and externally to support ongoing commercial requirements.
Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of flexible working arrangements depending on your schedule. Ng pkenga me ng wheako | Skills and Experience Along with having considerable aeronautical experience and understanding of aircraft maintenance requirements, you will need to have the following: National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (Applied Skill) Level 4. Working knowledge of the principles of technical airworthiness principles and aviation standards.
Logistics and obsolescence management experience. As a highly effective communicator you will be both experienced and skilled in stakeholder and relationship management , both internally and externally, and building trust with others in an advisory capacity. The DLC support role is summarised by feed, fuel, fix, arm, move, procure, pay. DLC provides logistics policy and advice internally to the NZDF and externally to NZDF's stakeholders on a Whole of Government basis.
