Dunedin Hospital Salary between $74,090 and $77,200 Be part of a fun, friendly and supportive team 0 FTE Casual opportunity to cover short notice sick leave and annual leave Our 4th Floor and Frederick Street Outpatients Departments are looking for an experienced administrator to join the team on a casual basis. M te tranga | About the role Our Outpatients Department are a team through and through, and this role plays an essential role in ensuring the successful provision of patient centred care by fostering a welcoming environment for patients right from the get-go. We are looking for an experienced administrator who learns quickly, retains information and is accurate in their work.
Naturally you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people and problems, often all at the same time This is an all-rounder role that will be involved in all aspects of admin in the department. Your primary duties will include providing excellent customer service in our reception area, and the booking of patients. Daily tasks will include booking patients for procedures using our patient management system, phoning patients, and responding to enquires, sending out appointment letters and changing patient appointments at short notice to suit patient and clinical need.
Mu ake | About you You will have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients and clinicall staff both in person and on the phone. You will be the kind of person who is flexible, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure. It goes without saying that you will be a team player and willing to help where needed.
Our successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a busy administration role Excellent computer skills: proven experience in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook with the ability to learn other job specific programmes.
