General information Location Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington Expertise Product Development / Management Job Level Experienced, Management Employment Type Permanent full-time Close Date 26-Feb-2024 Ref 54663 Description & Requirements Our Chapter Lead Product Owners is at the forefront of Product innovation and development This role will be responsible for ensuring that CCL is consistently evolving our products to meet the needs of our customers and the products we deliver to them today and into the future. They will build and lead our new team of Product Owners to deliver amazing product experiences for our customers. As the Chapter Lead - Product Owners, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing a team of Product Owners within the CCL Product and Portfolio Domain.

You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and supporting your team of Product Owners as they work on various products and initiatives, ensuring that our product development efforts align with the company's strategic objectives. This role is a blend of leadership, mentorship, and product management expertise. Accountable for: Team Leadership: Provide leadership and vision to a team of Product Owners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities for the team. Mentoring and Development: Support the professional growth and development of Product Owners by offering guidance, coaching, and regular feedback. Identify training needs and ensure team members acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.

Product Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with the Product Leadership Team to ensure that the product vision and strategy are communicated effectively to the team and translate these into actionable initiatives. Align team objectives with the overall product strategy. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration between Product Owners and cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product delivery.

Product Backlog Management: Oversee the management of product backlogs, ensuring that they are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. Assist Product Owners in refining user stories and feature specifications. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges related to product development and work with the team to mitigate them.

Ensure that the team is proactive in addressing issues that may impact product delivery. Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Product Owners and their respective products. Continuously analyse and improve team performance based on data-driven insights.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for stakeholders and relay progress updates, roadblocks, and timelines. Ensure transparency and clear communication between the team and stakeholders. Product Ownership: This role is also a doing role and will be required to take on Product Ownership respons.
