About the Role - This role aims to deliver a prompt service to all users of the Council's information services infrastructure.

The primary emphasis is on overseeing and managing a modern desktop environment. The responsibilities include managing, monitoring, and reporting on all endpoint systems, and offering guidance on new proposals, including assessing the implications for endpoint security. Do you have what it takes? - This is a busy role and if you want plenty of variety, this role has it from addressing and resolving endpoint system malfunctions promptly, ensuring the stability and reliability of all desktop systems within the organisation, managing and enforcing security policies on endpoint systems, implementing endpoint updates, and mitigating vulnerabilities to safeguard the organisation's data and systems.

It will also keep up with evolving technology trends, contribute to the configuration and maintenance of network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access point and ensure proper configurations and monitoring network usage trends for optimal efficiency. Providing systems procedures and documentation in line with standard operating procedure and technical support to the Service Desk Specialist when required is also a component of this role. About You - You are a proactive team player with a proven track record in endpoint management, cloud technologies, and systems engineering with a relevant tertiary qualification, such as computer science plus three years' experience in a similar role, is a Microsoft certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.

As a key player, you'll be responsible for ensuring seamless operations, security, and performance across all endpoints while harnessing cutting-edge cloud solutions..
