Bring your first-class communications experience to the heart of Parliament M te tnga | About the role You'll be entrusted to provide communications and social media advice to Tom Rutherford, MP. Working as a core part of the team, you'll step into an environment that is unique, exciting, and rewarding. You'll be tasked with driving the implementation of the communications plan for your MP.
This position offers real variety and plays a vital role contributing to the successful running of your MP's office, and in supporting Aotearoa New Zealand's democracy. You'll be required to develop targeted content across a variety of traditional and social media channels to engage the community along with interacting with constituents as and when required to support the wider team. Ng haepapa | Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the Member's communications plan Identify and recommend opportunities to promote the Member's Parliamentary profile to the public across media; print, television, radio and social Lead the development and implementation of all communication materials, in line with the communications plan: including media releases, radio interview content, speech writing, briefing notes, newspaper articles, website content, newsletters, global correspondence, long term canvassing materials and social media Create, identify, advise and recommend on media opportunities for the Member Create and maintain positive working relationships with local and regional media, and networks both inside and outside Parliament to support the Member's profile and media engagement He aha te pai o te mahi ki Te Ratonga Whare Premata? | Why work for Parliamentary Service?
