Coordinator Te Poutiki Be a part of our newly established Te Poutiki Division to provide coordination and support across various activities relating to policy, engagement, tikanga, and capability.

The Division guides the Ministry in its engagement with Mori, in its expression of tikanga, in the development of policy and in the capability uplift of our people. Krero m te tranga - About the role This is a new position at the Ministry and plays a critical role in supporting Manat Aoreres continued uplift of Mtauranga Mori.
You will provide a high level of coordination support to the Divisional Manager and across all functions of the division. You will: Provide planning support and maintain delivery schedules Coordinate progress reports and other periodic reporting requirements Coordinate logistics for hui and significant events Provide coordination support for learning and development programmes Coordinate responses to key compliance processes such as OIAs, parliamentary questions, and Ministerial requests Coordinate budget and resourcing process Provide support to the Divisional Manager For more detail you can view a copy of the position description here. The salary range for this role is between $61,691 to $68,546 total remuneration, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

Wed like to hear from you if you have following skills and experience: Minimum of two to three years experience in an administration or coordinator role Good understanding of tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles Ability to contribute to and work within a team Sound written and oral communication skills Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of people Expert in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel A good understanding of financial management and good numeracy skills Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Mori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Mori (the Mori worldview) into your work. If you are just starting on this journey thats OK too as long as you have a willingness to learn and a desire to develop your cultural capability.
