One of Christchurch's largest and most reputable organisations is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join their team. This role is pivotal in optimizing and enhancing this organisations data layer to enable advanced data solutions, analytics, visualizations, and self-service capabilities as well as achieving high levels of accuracy and automation. About the Role: This role is focused on the modelling and extraction of data from a variety of sources both internal and external, and providing accurate and consistent data insights to users throughout the organisation.
You will also be responsible for building out the Data warehouses, data pipelines, and providing insights to users to support them in making data-driven decisions. Key responsibilities will include: Applying transformations to new and existing data to fit into a structured data model. Ensuring efficient Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) or Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to minimize the load on the data warehouse.
Ensuring data models are scalable, reliable, and able to handle the required data volume and variety. Running hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS) as well as Snowflake for the Datawarehouse and DBT for transformations. Skills and Experience: Experienced in Snowflake for Data warehousing and DBT for transformations.
Advanced working knowledge of SQL and/or Python is required for this role. In-depth knowledge of data analytic techniques and warehousing concepts. Proven experience in dealing with designing and delivering cloud analytics solutions.
