Will you come on that journey with us? M tnei tranga mahi | About this role This is a fixed term position for 4 months to assist us with sampling while we get someone in the role permanently. The key responsibilities of this role is to collect water and wastewater samples and enter the data into our spreadsheets. You will be a team member of our water and wastewater team who work hard to maintain the integrity of our water and wastewater service within the Whakatne District.

Ko wai koe | About you You'll be joining a team, that we believe, have one of the most important jobs in the District So, we think you will be a little bit pedantic with what you do and how you do it You will need to have high hygiene standards and be able to maintain these to not interfere with samples being collected. You will have great data entry skills and an ability to learn on-the-job and follow processes. Most importantly you will be able to work on your own with no, or minimal, supervision, so you will be a motivated self-starter.

You'll be the kind of person that is punctual, reliable and just cracks on with their tasks. You must also have a full clean driver's licence for this position. You'll get access to a range of staff benefits including free swimming pool access.

This position has been identified as being safety sensitive so the successful candidate will be required to undertake and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol and health test.
