The Northern Region has an opening for a Data Scientist who will be responsible for supporting Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science solutions. A Data Scientist is integral to the success of digital and analytics solutions, and the delivery of advanced analytics at the Northern Region. They possess a collection of essential data analytics and people skills supported by business and commercial acumen.

This role requires high levels of natural curiosity for the impact data has on the business decision making process, strong communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills. They will use AI/ML technologies to innovate current healthcare operations. Examples of tasks of innovation include the use of predictive modelling for determine the demand of certain patient care pathways, text mining to extract clinical and entity information and working with Machine learning and AI to analyse information from medical devices.

This position will work closely with business stakeholders, clinicians, health teams, and other Health Analytics team members to effectively optimise analytical solutions and prioritised analysis. The Data Scientist will need to manage customer expectations around solution delivery and communicate effectively to customers and stakeholders around progress and requirements gathering. This is full time position working Monday to Friday.

You will have the following: Wide range of technical competencies in statistics, data mining, machine learning, coding languages, databases and reporting and visualisation technologies to create compelling models and outcomes which can use to support or even change existing processes. Preferably 2 years or more in a Data Scientist or similar roles with health industry related experiences. Have a passion for healthcare and data And will seek creative solutions to resolve business problems.
