M te tnga | About the role This role manages all permittable and notifiable Works Health and Safety on Estate & Infrastructure projects as part of the Burnham Infrastructure Programme and wider programmes of works. The main responsibilities of the role include: Issuing and documentation for high risk permits. Vetting of contractors: check credentials and training competence.

Delivering H&S and Site Safety Inductions. Maintaining and managing all relevant databases, site/ H&S registers and records. Maintaining oversight of compliance schedules as required.

Assisting stakeholders to communicate, coordinate and manage hazards via a client led permit to work system. This position is fixed term and expected to end in December 2025. Ng pkenga me ng wheako | Skills and Experience Along with previous experience in the construction and/or facility management services industry, you'll have: A good understanding of permitting best practise guidelines and H&S standards.

Previous experience issuing and receiving permits on construction sites. Knowledge of permit to work systems and high risk works within the facilities maintenance and/or construction industry. Previous experience in delivering workplace health and safety inductions.

Well developed interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with wide range of stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Good MS Office Suite skills, excel and outlook.

Travel to other sites within the Canterbury region may be required at times, so a current full Drivers' License is needed.
