Delivery Lead, Income Service Delivery Wellington 1 Permanent fulltime position 1 Fixed term position to end October 2024 (parental leave cover) In the Income Portfolio, we strive to make it easier for our clients and whnau to understand and access what they are eligible to receive and provide fair, consistent, accurate and timely income support. Reporting to the Director, and in conjunction with the relevant People Lead and Scrum Lead, you will deliver initiatives within budget with support from the Director. We are looking for an experienced Delivery Leads with a proven record of successfully implementing complex initiatives.
In these roles, you will be expected to: Lead a team to successfully implement initiatives within agreed timeframes and within the allocated budget; you may be expected to manage a number of initiatives at the same time. Build and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders working towards a shared goal. Ensure that initiatives are well planned, features are well articulated and achievable so that the team can deliver within a Program Increment.
Produce high quality written papers including visual A3s for audiences both internal and external to the Ministry; this includes for Group General Managers, Deputy Chief Executives and various Governance groups. Identify and manage risks and issues and escalate as required. Support and represent the Director at meetings when required.
You will have: Experience in the Delivery Lead or other project management role A strong commitment for supporting New Zealanders into suitable employment Experience in the successful delivery of time critical initiatives A good understanding of the mechanics of government Proven experience in working in a fast-paced environment Experience in navigating across the business to ensure contribution to the work is timely and impactful The ability to create a positive and productive team environment If you have a passion for creating a positive and productive team environment, experience in leading client-centric design and development, as well as implementation and ongoing support of new and/or updated initiatives and sound project management, then do not delay and apply.
