Nau mai, haere mai ki poko ki te uru hauora Location: Kapiti Health Centre Service: Older Adult, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Services Contract: Permanent, Part-time 0.6 FTE Salary: In accordance with PSA Allied, Public Health & Technical Krero m te tranga - About the role This is an exciting permanent part-time opportunity for a Dietitian to join our Kapiti community service. As a Dietitian working in this team, your day with be both exciting and varied.

Your day will include a variety of rehabilitation and therapies based work. There will be assessments and interventions both in a home-based and out-patient clinical setting. Group and individual work will be part of your role.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team where we respect difference and encourage creative solutions to achieve patient's health goals. Here at ORA we understand the value of good patient relationships. You will work with patients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

We need you to demonstrate your excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and their whanau. An understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and Pae Ora is an advantage. As is familiarity working with those experiencing cognitive change.

M t mtou rp - About our team The Older Adult, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Service aims to bring excellent medical care to the community. With this in mind, you will enjoy working collaboratively with our Kapiti population alongside your allied health, nursing and medical colleagues. You will work within a friendly and supportive interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively and takes a patient centered and goal focused approach.

We work alongside a fast-paced interdisciplinary team We keep professional clinical records We engage with patients and their whanau in a positive manner, to understand the impact of and response to living with disability/ health conditions We support and connect into local community resources for best patient outcomes We actively work with an equity lens We provide supervision and support to junior staff orientating to the community setting Mo - About you We require you to bring your holistic skills, enthusiasm and passion to achieve the best outcome for our patients. To do this, you'll need the following; Current APC and full registration with the New Zealand Dietitian Board. Experience working with people working with people from a wide range of cultures and from a spectrum of high to low deprivation and need.

The role will predominately work with people from aged 18 upwards, however there is a paediatrics diabetes role involved in this position. Dietitians.
