00 per hour depending on experience About the Role You will be based in Auckland, but may also be required to work in Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate. What you will do Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Develop, design, or update engineering plans for custom switchboard projects.
Design innovative ways to generate, distribute, and manage electricity in accordance with project requirements. Design automated and computerized methods to control electrical processes efficiently. Calculate the cost of projects, including materials needed for custom switchboard manufacturing.
Prepare comprehensive reports and develop instruction manuals for the installation of new electricity systems and equipment. Supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Oversee electricity system tests, promptly identifying and correcting any faults to ensure optimal performance.
The successful applicant will Minimum 3 years of proven experience in designing and managing electrical projects, preferably in switchboard manufacturing. Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficient in Basic CAD, Excel, and possess a solid understanding of electrical theory.
Experience in basic hand tool/machine operation. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Highly motivated self-starter with a commitment to integrity, creativity, and reliability.
Understands and practices the principles of zero harm. Calm, professional temperament with ability to cope in pressured environments, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues in challenging situations. Problem-solving skills.
