We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional events and services that contribute to the vibrancy and success of our university community. : We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Events Coordinator to join our team. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of a wide range of events hosted by Commercial Services.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Customer Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Ensure that all client needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Planning and Preparation: Develop event concepts and proposals in collaboration with clients. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and dcor.

Create comprehensive event timelines and manage deadlines effectively. Operations: Oversee the smooth execution of events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination. Address any issues or concerns that arise during events promptly and effectively.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Staff Management: Assist in recruitment of casual events staff, train, and supervise event staff, including on-site event teams and contractors. Delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure efficient event operations.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among team members, acting as a role model for all service staff. Business Enhancement: Identify opportunities to enhance existing events and develop new offerings. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and drive attendance.

Monitor event performance and gather feedback to continuously improve processes and offerings. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant hospitality qualification is an advantage. Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a university or hospitality setting.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. How to.
