Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored. We have a permanent, full-time role available to join our team as an Executive Assistant. In this role you will provide high quality, timely executive support to the Regional Director of the National Public Health Service for Te Ikaroa/Central Region.

This includes managing and prioritising communications, including complex calendar management, meeting arrangements, travel, agenda preparation, support for briefing preparation and minute taking. You will have a strong focus on forward planning and time management, ensuring efficient and seamless logistics. You will manage calendars and correspondence in a way that ensures time is invested on the right outcomes and deliverables and ensuring the Regional Director's work programme is proactively managed, to ensure smooth and effective delivery.

An important part of the role will be understanding how to support the organisation of internal and external events at which the Regional Director will attend and that will need some knowledge of tikanga Mori. This role can be based in either of the following offices in Ikaroa Wellington, Lower Hutt, Palmerston North or Hastings/Napier. Mu | About you With prior experience as an Executive Assistant, you are familiar with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across large complex organisations.

You will be able to apply a high level of discretion while managing sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner and can use a systematic approach to develop an understanding of how the work being undertaken is interconnected and impacts on a national level and be adaptive able to pick up new systems and process quickly. Ng pkenga me ng wheako | Skills and experience Secondary school NCEA, or comparable working experience working in an executive administrative support role. Certificates / Diploma in an area relevant to administration desirable Proven experience in an Executive Assistant role providing support to a senior executive and their team Demonstrated experience in a medium to large complex organisation, or other government agency Ability to work autonomously.
