Impact Engineering is an established company based in Judea, Tauranga. We have a strong focus on providing excellence in engineering solutions for our nationwide customers. Our main line of work is in the infrastructure industry including CLS, Stainless & Carbon pipework, Aluminium covers & hatches and a huge variety of civil engineering projects for local contractors and city councils.

We are currently looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder with pipeline skills for our busy workshop in Tauranga: Fabricator for shop fabrication and some site installation works, light to medium fabrication in Carbon, Stainless, Structural and Pipework. This is a permanent full-time position. Normal day shift Monday Friday, minimum 40 hours per week.

Job location is in our workshop located at 140 Birch Ave, Judea, Tauranga with some site work in the local area. Remuneration $32-$36 per hour. Skills Required: Relevant trade qualification Minimum 3 years trade experience MIG, TIG and ARC welding to 1554.

1, 1554.3 Standards Ability to pass ASME IX Weld Testing for pipe welding in Stainless Steel 316 Stable employment history Excellent time management and communication skills Current NZ Drivers Licence Attention to detail High personal standards of work and efficiency Hold teamwork skills and be able to take instruction Be able to work unsupervised both on and off site Comply with Health and Safety standards Job Description: Assembly & fit up of pipe spools Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel Coded welding of pipe spools to ASME IX Standard General fabrication of structures from Mild Steel & Stainless Steel Pre spooling of Stainless & Carbon pipework Site installation of Stainless & Carbon pipework Completion of QA Sheets for Material Traceability and welding Cutting material with Bandsaw, Cold cut saw, Grinders, GF machine, OxyAct and Punch & Shear machine Assembly and welding of Light to Medium structures including Platforms & Handrails, Pipe Supports, Covers & Lids for Manholes.
