We are seeking a motivated and talented farm manager who is passionate about animals and pasture. The farm is 180ha seasonal supply dairy farm. The farm milks 600 Friesian cross cows twice a day through a 46 a side herringbone shed with automatic cup removers.
The farm is fully irrigated by 2 pivot irrigators and a turbo Rainer. Cows are wintered off farm on grass/hay/silage dryland support block. The farm owners live on the farm with family members 50:50 sharemilking it.
The farm runs with a farm manager, 1 x 2IC and 2 x assistants. The farm is located approximately 20 minutes from Ashburton, 15 minutes from Methven and 30 minutes from Rakaia. There are primary and secondary school buses available from the farm gate.
The farm is close to Mt Hutt ski field and mountain bike park, Opuke hot springs, Staveley ice rink, and a huge amount of outdoor activity areas.
