About the role We have an exciting opportunity to embark on your journey as Feedmill Production Manager for our feed mill based in New Plymouth. In this role, you would be leading the feed mill operations with the support of the existing team and supporting them to coordinate, control & develop the production functions to achieve operational excellence at the feed mill. Reporting to the Feedmill Manager in New Plymouth this opportunity empowers you to ensure best practice is implemented & strategic objectives for the business are supported by the Feedmill operations.
A day in the life of Feedmill Production Manager To operate the Feedmill efficiently through planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of reporting staff. To ensure all feeds are produced for sale as per specification and forecast requirements. To implement and monitor environmental, health and safety requirements for all reporting Feedmill employees considering current legislation & Tegel policies and procedures.
To ensure that the prescribed National & Regional Feedmill processes are followed to meet compliance & regulatory requirements. Ensure security over the premises is maintained and compliance with all regulations and Feedmill requirements including all bio-security policies and processes. This a hands-on role, where the management of people will be critical to your success.
You will have a people management style that is constructive and based on encouraging team members' involvement and contributions to workplace improvements. You will have a belief in the benefits of systems and processes and be committed to managing all feed-milling-related compliance requirements. What will you bring? Production experience with previous Feed Milling experience ideal.
Experience dealing with a complex & multi-product manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience & communication skills. Demonstrated experience in complex decision-making and problem-solving.
Understanding of the manufacturing process. Previous experience leading a team across the multi-shift operation. What is in it for you?
