Whilst compliance function remains the core of this role, the Financial Accountant will play a critical part in the maintaining the recently implemented ERP system, developing internal controls and supporting the Museum to meet its commercial objectives. The Financial Accountant role is full of variety and is involved in almost all facets of the Museums operation. The role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the financial information produced.
To be successful in this role, you will: Prepare the monthly financial accounts and year-end statutory accounts Ensure Museums Capex and Fixed Assets are recorded and reported accurately Contribute to effective Budgeting, Forecasting, and Management Reporting Manage Balance Sheet Reconciliations and maintain Fixed Asset Register Business partnering with colleagues at all levels to encourage better financial understanding for effective decision making Respond to financial inquiries and take ownership of all balance sheet ledger accounts Evaluation of financial and other performance data to enable effective business decisions Prepare associate entities financial and statutory accounts Assist with the external and internal audit process Prepare Capex and depreciation forecasts, working closely with the project managers Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations and reporting Provide back up and mentor the Assistant Accountants Key attributes we are looking for: Qualified Chartered Accountant. CA/CPA Financial Accounting and Statutory reporting experience of 3 years with a medium to large organization. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Experience in Technology One ERP system would be advantageous.
