We are looking for a Fitter/Assembler to join a local engineering firm. This company specialise in the telecommunications and electricity industries They complete all fabrication and fitting in their workshop. This position will be solely based in their Hornby workshop.
Key tasks: Read and understand all drawings Setting and operating manual lathe and milling machines Mechanical fitting/ assembly Working to tight deadlines Skills & attributes required: Some training provided but a minimum of 1 year experience in general engineering workshop is prefered Ideally have operated a manual lathe or mill Ability to work in a team or unsupervised to complete a task from start to finish A strong commitment to Health & Safety Culture & benefits: Potential for a Fitting & Turning apprenticeship In return we offer you the opportunity to join a long standing, reputable company Competitive payrate based on experience Full time hours, 40 per week Small, supportive team You must have NZ work rights to apply for this role.
