Auckland Transport is working to shape our city and we are committed to moving Auckland forward. We are continuing to work on Flood Recovery projects from the impact of cyclone events in 2023. These Project Engineer fixed term roles are created to support the great work started by our engineers last January.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity This role forms part of the combined flood recovery/road maintenance team (AT/supplier) and will support the Contract Manager in establishing and maintaining a strong collaborative working relationship with our supplier to support the intent and objectives of the Collaborative Maintenance Partnership (CMP) contract with both parties taking responsibility for delivery of the contract's objectives and desired outcomes. This role is Fixed term and will end June 2025. Key tasks will include: Responsibility for the delivery of flood recovery project works through the road maintenance contract in the respective contract area.
Reviewing and approving the contractor's flood recovery work programmes. Managing the delivery of flood recovery projects. Including project management, project scoping, investigation, design option assessment, detailed design, obtaining resource and building consents, stakeholder engagement, construction MSQA.
Reviewing and certifying the quantity and quality of completed work for payment purposes. Providing technical advice and information to the team and others on flood recovery works. Investigating and responding to customer requests in a timely and customer focused manner that enhances the reputation of AT.
Engagement with key stakeholders and affected parties, professional communication through design option assessment and delivery of the physical works. Ko koe tnei | About you Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a relevant discipline or significant proven experience in a similar role. 2-5 years' post graduate experience in the delivery of road maintenance and/or road renewal/construction activities.
