Gaming Grants & Support Specialist TAB New Zealand Closing date: Feb 11, 2024 Wellington Reporting to the Head of Gaming, the Gaming Grants & Support Specialist plays a key role in providing community support. On a day-to-day basis you will be engaging with members of the community to assist them through the grant application process, providing clear guidance on compliance needs. TAB New Zealand is responsible for securing and delivering vital funding for racing and sport in New Zealand.
TAB NZ has entered a 25-year strategic partnering agreement with Entain for the delivery of betting, broadcasting and gaming, and is now establishing its future operating model. From its Class 4 Gaming Operations, TAB NZ distribute up to 20% of net proceeds to the communities of New Zealand, in accordance with its Sports Authorised Purpose. About the role: Reporting to the Head of Gaming, the Gaming Grants & Support Specialist plays a key role in providing community support.
On a day-to-day basis you will be engaging with members of the community to assist them through the grant application process, providing clear guidance on compliance needs to support their submission through to the TAB NZ Class 4 Net Proceeds Committee and managing the grant database. The successful applicant will have strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and a passion for TAB NZ. Responsibilities: To maintain accurate and complete records of each grant application.
To determine whether submissions received meet the Authorised Purposes Guidelines and communicate with applicants that either do not meet the guidelines or have not provided the full supporting data required. To provide support and guidance in assessing the suitability of grant applications To liaise with grant applicants regarding their application(s), advising of the outcome from the process as appropriate Ensure and maintain accurate records/files of gaming equipment, venue information, DIA Applications and Licences Provide the Operations Team with administration support for the operational aspects of the business unit including maintaining accurate records of gaming equipment, venue information, DIA Applications and Licences Requirements: Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate and resolve customer queries Working as an effective part of a team Database / spread-sheeting experience Strong attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Ability to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders Shows initiative and strong problem-solving skills This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain commercial experience and hone their stakeholder engagement skills.
