The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. We are enabling Northland to contribute to the decarbonisation challenge by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers. We are seeking a General Manager to manage the Electricity Network Assets with a mission to provide a safe, secure, reliable and fairly priced supply of electricity to consumers in the Far North.

This position reports to the Chief Executive and is based at the John Butler Centre, Kerikeri. Key areas of focus will be: To maximise the performance of the Network Asset, Estimating Management, the Planning and Design of the Network, Management of the Asset Management System, Network Operations and Network Contracts, and: Preparation of realistic budgets for revenue, maintenance, operational and capital expenditure, that aligns with the overall delivery of the Top Energy Strategy; The provision of appropriate standards for the Network; Ensure the development of detailed customer driven network extension designs, costs and work packages that meet Top Energy's statutory compliance, internal procedures, and customer service level expectations; The provision and publication of an asset management plan and the physical delivery of the plan to achieve the network strategy; Compliance of all legislative and regulatory requirements; Management of the Control Centre activities and ADMS and SCADA systems' technical support; Develop KPIs and benchmarks for all contractors operating on the Top Energy Network; Leadership of the Network team, providing direction, coaching and support, including career development and succession plans. To succeed in this role, you will have an appropriate power engineering qualification - preferably power discipline from a Washington Accord accredited University, significant experience in a management / operations role at an electricity supply company or similar and professional recognition in the form of Membership of relevant engineering and management institutions, registration or chartering.

Post graduate qualifications in business or management related disciplines would be an advantage.
