About the Role You will be part of our small, dynamic team in Auckland as a Chef. Our events delivery business is diverse and tailored to our long-standing clients from corporate training to planning days, team-building events, exams and corporate cocktail parties. No two days are the same Your previous experience will ensure the highest levels of menu planning, management, and kitchen operations are delivered.
This will be a full-time, permanent role, 40 hours a week with the rare weeknight and weekend shifts. On a day-to-day level, you will: Design and create menus of corporate catering for event delegates over the week Collaborate with clients and internally on menu planning and costing for special events (eg. canape events, themed events) Manage high-volume food production and event execution while keeping with Cliftons high standards of food quality, consistency and variety Monitor, control, and plan stock orders, deliveries, storage, equipment, and ingredients Manage other kitchen operations such as keeping records of cleaning services and rosters Oversee the work of casual kitchen staff About You We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
Ideally, you'll have previous experience in corporate events or hospitality, being a sous chef or CDP looking for an opportunity to manage their kitchen or work independently. In addition, you will: Have high-level menu development, costs and food production skills Possess outstanding people management skills Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills Uphold Work Health & Safety and Food Safety protocols Have a dynamic personality Thrive in a fast-paced and multi-faceted environment Why Join Us?
