PAK'nSAVE Rangiora is currently seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced individual to join our Grocery Team as the Head Grocery Buyer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our Buying Team in delivering exceptional quality and a wide selection of Grocery products at competitive prices, specifically catering to the North Canterbury region. We are in search of a candidate who possesses the ability to provide superior results while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Effective communication, strong organizational and analytical skills are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, trust, and honesty, and consistently deliver outstanding customer service. Additionally, they will serve as a role model, leading the team by example.

The successful candidate will understand that our customers are number one and recognizes the importance of building strong relationships within the team and customers alike while fostering and growing the same with our various suppliers. Ideally, they will have the experience of liaising with sales reps and merchandisers and the ability to organise and plan promotional displays and space management. The Head Grocery Buyer role will report through to the Grocery Management team and lead our existing Grocery Buyers.

This role comes with the responsibility of maintaining stock control and inventory management, financial calculations and budget management, and upholding standards within the store. This is a 45-hour working week.
