Full time, permanent position 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per fortnight Based at Churchill Hospital Blenheim location at Gate 2 entrance Wairau Hospital Churchill Hospital is a private elective surgical hospital which is co-located on the grounds of the Wairau public hospital in Blenheim. Healthcare Assistants working at Churchill Hospital are employed by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Nelson Marlborough).

Ng mhiohio e p ana ki tnei mahi (About this position) This is a full-time permanent role, working 80 hours per fortnight.

It is working for Churchill Hospital, however you will be an employee under Te Whatu Ora (Nelson Marlborough). You will perform delegated patient care, equipment management, stock management, linen management, and food service duties to enhance the experience level of the hospitalised patient in the area. Your responsibilities will be throughout the Churchill Hospital and Specialist Centre and some key partnerships within Wairau Hospital where needed.

Emphasis is on providing efficient and quality care by focusing on patient's comfort/concerns resulting in support to nursing staff and contributing to the superior customer experience to all internal and external customers. This role is responsible to large variety of customers and is key to be values driven. Ko wai he kaitono ttika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?) We are looking for applicants who have: Experience in working in a healthcare facility or hospital environment would be advantageous Attention to detail and innovation (this is a key concept) Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively and efficiently Excellent organisational skills and self-driven to deliver Ability to build and maintain relationships within a team environment A caregiver qualification in any level would be advantageous.

Basic computer skills will be advantageous.
