The Healthcare Assistant will provide optimum care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and the direction of anaesthetic technicians.

The HHealthcare Assistant is responsible for their own actions and to ensure they are practicing within the tasks outlined in this position description and are accountable for these. Tasks associated with the role include (but are not limited to): Transfer of patient within the department and between departments Ensure patient transportation and transfers are carried out in a safe and acceptable manner. Specimens, blood products and other items are efficiently collected and delivered.

Assist with positioning and transportation of patients at the request of nurses, technicians, surgeons and anaesthetists. Assist with holding of limbs for prepping as required. Order and.
