Based at Auckland City Hospital Part-time (0.8 FTE) permanent position Ko wai mtou | Our Organisation We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist or Registered Nurse, which would enjoy the challenge of coordinating our Interventional Radiology (IR) service on a day-to-day basis. The position manages the acute and elective workflow through Interventional Radiology covering; the three Interventional Radiology Operating Rooms, and IR ultrasound Procedures Room, IR sessions in CT and IR sessions in the Hybrid Operating Room. The role allows for identifying and implementing strategies to enhance the IR service in collaboration with IR Senior Team.

In this role you will co-ordinate all multi-disciplinary clinical activities for IR, ensuring the delivery of an effective, efficient and safe Interventional Radiology service for Te Toka Tumai - Auckland. You will have experience in relationship building and be adept at liaising with multiple groups of health professionals. You will have operating or procedure room experience, exceptional time management skills, enjoy autonomy and have good decision making and problem solving skills.

You will enjoy organising people and resources, juggling responsibilities and achieving demanding goals in an acute operating service. You will work in combination with an existing IR Co-ordinator (0.5 FTE) For further details, please refer to the position description here.

Nga Pkenga Motuhake | Important Skills This role would suit either a Medical Radiation Technologist or Registered Nurse with a strong Interventional Radiology or Theatre background. In order to be considered for the role, you must have the registration obtained from the relevant board in New Zealand.
