Ko wai mtou | About Us Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 konga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3. Our konga are at the centre of all we do.

M tnei tranga mahi | About this position We are looking for a creative, innovative Secondary Kaiako (teacher) whos a subject expert in English to join our team in a regional office based in either Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown. Kaiako (Teacher) at Te Kura engage with our konga (students) online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to two days per week.

Ko koe tnei | About you It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements and are willing to learn, innovate, work collaboratively and build effective relationships. You'll be future orientated and understand how the use of technology, together with your enthusiasm, vision and commitment improves education outcomes for all our students, Mori and Pasifika learners in particular.
