Kaitohu Ppho - Communications Advisor, Ohakune Ng Waihua o Paerangi Trust Closing date: Feb 15, 2024 Permanent Full Time Manawat-Whanganui Ng Waihua o Paerangi Trust (formerly known as Ngti Rangi Trust) is currently seeking applicants for the role of Kaitohu Ppho - Communications Advisor Do you want to be part of an organisation that values whnau and flexibility? Are you a communications guru and love to create stories and content for all media platforms? The primary purpose of the role: The Kaitohu Ppho will advise, create and deliver timely and professional communication and marketing services and information to management, staff and the wider community. The Kaitohu Ppho will draft and develop key communication messages, articles and press releases, communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans and social mediaengagement. The successful candidate will have: Significant knowledge of and adherence to Ngti Rangi reo, tikanga and kawa.
Strong computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office).
Demonstrated experience in event management, including the ability to facilitate large groups. Ability to plan, execute and manage projects. Significant, proven experience in reporting at an executive and or governance level.
Excellent facilitation, written and oral communication skills. Knowledge and use of social media platforms. Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
Able to build and maintain effective communications and relationships. Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles. Experience in writing and producing content.
Able to deliver marketing and communications functions, such as creative concept generation, writing of media releases, media planning, developing and implementing marketing and communications campaigns and events. To be successful in this role you will be passionate about working within a progressive iwi organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for persons looking to share their skills in both English and Mori to ensure our stories and what we do is communicated effectively.
This is an exciting time of growth for our iwi, the successful applicant will be a key contributor to this in the promotion and branding of our Ngti Rangi world view. This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.
00pm (40 hours per week) position where applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Availability outside of these hours will be required to fulfil the outcomes of the position, including but not limited to some weekend and evening attendance at hui. A current, full NZ Drivers Licence is a requirement of the position.
