Kaitohutohu Matua Pmanawa Tangata Human Resources Advisor, Ohakune Ng Waihua o Paerangi Trust Closing date: Feb 15, 2024 Permanent Full Time Manawat-Whanganui Full-time, permanent, Ohakune Based Ng Waihua o Paerangi Trust (formerly known as Ngti Rangi Trust) is currently seeking applicants for the role of Kaitohutohu Matua Pmanawa Tangata / Human Resources Advisor. The primary purpose of the role is to carry out the day-to-day human resources activities for Ng Waihua o Paerangi Trust with the objective of maximising operational efficiency and staff satisfaction and reflecting HR best practice. A key area of focus for this role is the maintenance of accurate human resource records inclusive of payroll, employment contracts, position descriptions etc.
This role also extends to: Providing operational support to all those in people leadership roles regarding effective people practices, Best practice recruitment and selection, performance management, Learning and development, and All aspects of employment relations and occupational safety and health. The successful candidate will have: Experience providing advice and support to team leads and staff across a range of human resources disciplines. Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation together with experience working with HR best practices.
Employment relations and performance management experience A commitment and alignment to a diverse and inclusive culture for both staff and members. Demonstrate experience in dealing with a range of payroll administration tasks. Exceptional communications skills and the ability to present information, both orally and in written form.
We are looking for someone who has: At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role and a relevant tertiary qualification. Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to problem solve and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft office suites.
Excellent planning and time management skills, ability, and flexibility to meet stringent deadlines and under pressure. Ability to analyse and solve complex problems, form judgements, and provide advice and recommendations. Knowledge of relevant standards, policies, processes, procedures, and regulation.
Ability or developing competency in te reo Mori, tikanga. Ability to work alongside and implement our Ngti Rangi way, Capacity to provide sound advice to support and make informed decisions and minimise risk. This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 8.
30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week) position where applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. A current, full NZ Drivers Licence is a requirement of the position.
