And right now, were looking for Learn to Swim Instructors to join our Pool and Leisure Centre team at West Wave to help achieve that goal This is a fantastic job where you dont need any formal qualifications or experience to apply just a passion to work with our diverse community while also making a difference We'll provide the training you need to succeed in the role. Day-to-day you could expect to work on: Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this) Maintaining a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitors Being part of an amazing team serving your local community We have two permanent part-time 12-hour and one 8-hour available at our centre.
You will need to be available after school hours, weekdays, and weekends. He krero mu: About you You will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public. Previous experience working with children would be beneficial.
If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, thatd be fantastic. However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job. To be considered for this role, you must also be willing to complete First Aid training.
Our Successful candidate will be comfortable in the water and able to: Swim 20 metres freestyle 20 metres backstroke Tread water for 3 minutes Ng huatanga kei a mtou: What we offer.
