Kia mau, kia ita, kia - haumi e, hui e, tiki e Te Tranga | About the role As a Library & Community Hub Assistant you will welcome and assist community members to access library services (including physical and digital resources, programmes and events) and be the first point of contact for enquiries relating to Council's services. We have 2 fixed term, full-time roles available.
One role is 8 months, March to October 2024 and the other is 10 months, March to December 2024. The hours of work will be 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. These roles will provide excellent customer service to the community and initially have a focus on council services at the Community Hub.
You will also be involved in supporting the Library team as required. Some of your responsibilities will include: Providing information to customers about Council services, community engagement, bylaws, policies, and procedures across a range of council activities. Connecting customers to our digital resources, such as ebooks, printing and scanning Assisting with the promotion, booking and delivery of library programmes Upskilling knowledge of Te Ao Mori, library databases, computer programmes, changes in technology, health and safety.
