Our ability to create these connections is dependent on aircraft maintenance providing safe and compliant aircraft availability to fly our network. To support this, we have 2 permanent opportunities in our Line Maintenance operation in Christchurch for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
The role is a rostered shift position involving a potential combination of day and night shifts. Working in a team, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance work for our fleet of aircraft - identifying, documenting, and resolving defects on the line - identifying and rectifying issues to ensure the safety of our passengers and the on-time performance of our fleet. This role will suit you if you enjoy providing a high level of customer service and enjoy developing and maintaining relationships with all types of people.
You'll have strong skills in aircraft maintenance with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. Requirements for these positions include: 4 years secondary school education Have completed an Apprenticeship/Traineeship in the Aircraft Industry or have completed an RNZAF Aircraft Technicians course Level 4 National Certificate Aircraft Type ratings and endorsements would be an advantage - especially Q300, ATR, A32x CEO, A32x NEO, B787 or B777 - but these are preferential only and not essential. Please note that whilst we welcome all suitable applications, preference will be given to applicants with a CAANZ/CASA/EASA licence.
