Our equity team consist of Pacific Health, equity, engagement, and implementation functions. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your people and thought leadership skills by being both responsible for a team of subject matter experts and being part of the Equity and Engagement Directorate leadership team. M wai te mahi nei? | Who are we looking for? Our ideal candidate would bring: Proven experience providing strategic thought leadership on issues impacting Mori, Pacific and disability communities.

People leadership experience and ability to lead complex work programmes Genuine understanding of biculturalism, Te A Mori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in particular in relation to equity. A strong understanding of the Aotearoa health sector and health inequities within Aotearoa and/or countries with indigenous populations. Knowledge of Pacific cultures, worldviews and an understanding of Pacific health issues and challenges Strategic policy skills and experience successfully operating in the public sector Highly developed relationship management skills that includes proven bicultural and cross-cultural competence and experience.
