Te tranga - The roleThe Financial System Statistics team provides end-to-end data services, from assessing emerging data needs to collecting and analysing data and disseminating key metrics and insights. The team works with data ranging from financial reports to sample surveys and detailed unit records. The Manager Financial System Statistics is responsible for leading a team to deliver products and services that enable prudential supervision, financial system stability monitoring and economic assessment.
This team also publishes high quality official statistics for New Zealand on diverse topics including inflation expectations, insurance, and the cash and payments system. In this role you will be responsible for analytical and insights excellence and be a strong and visible advocate of informed decision making through data-driven business practices. As a trusted data leader for the Bank, you will lead into uncharted territory, evolving the team to meet new needs.
The manager will also actively contribute to a cohesive and capable management team in the Data, Statistics & Analytics department.
