Manager Office of the Chief Coroner Te Haeata/The Opportunity This a brand-new position, based in Wellington, here at Te Th o te Ture, we are looking for someone to be able to truly make the position their own and grow alongside it as it develops. As the Manager, Office of the Chief Coroner, you are responsible for leading a team that provides information, advice, and administrative support to help enable the Chief Coroner to fulfil their statutory obligations under the Coroners Act 2006. Alongside the Manager Justice Services, you will be instrumental in directly assisting the Chief Coroner deliver their vision and strategy for the Coroners Court.
You are also responsible for leading the Office of the Chief Coroner team that provides business and coronial information, along with judicial support to the Chief Coroner, Deputy Chief Coroner and Coroners Court bench. This position is highly diverse where you will be looking to develop existing procedures while future planning to develop new systems and processes to ensure a strong structure of support for the Chief Coroner. pkenga/Skills and Experience To be successful in the role you will be well planned and organised.
With this role being a front facing position, being the face of the Chief Coroner, you will need to have a professional level of communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of people. To be successful in this role you will: Have significant and proven experience in building and developing a team in large complex environments Have proven relationship management skills with various levels of stakeholders A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent know in business process implementation Knowledge of the machinery of government would be advantageous Bring a working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Te Th o te Ture Ministry of Justice Have a high level of business acumen Have an understanding of the judicial system and protocols No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
