M te tnga | About the role Manage and maintain all clothing related data, documentation, inventory and purchasing for New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). This is a unique and varied role which is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including managing our internal clothing management system, CAPES. Duties for this role will include: Managing all materiel data and document, inventory levels and purchasing within SAP.
Coordinating the end-to-end process for this, including ordering supplies as needed and the disposals equipment and stock. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors. Researching replacement and alternative supply options as needed.
Ensuring continuous improvement of all processes and assisting wider team as needed. This role is based in Messines Defence Centre (Trentham), with the flexibility to work from home on a regular basis. Some travel may be required within New Zealand.
Ng pkenga me ng wheako | Skills and Experience You will be living and breathing SAP in this role, so you'll need a good all-round knowledge of it and an understanding of the different features, including master data, inventory management, corrective action reporting and purchasing. You'll also have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as a strong team rapport to ensure a good team fit. Ideally, you will also have: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and research skills, with a strong attention to detail. Out-of-the-box thinking, a pro-active mind-set and a can do attitude, with the ability to remain flexible to changing priorities. Good computer skills, including a strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and an intermediate level of Excel.
