Providing specialist Engineering, Design and Advisory services to industrial manufacturing and production facilities my client have a successful track record of technical excellence working across the full project life cycle from concept to commissioning. On offer is a salary of $90K - $110K benefits Your role will involve working on industrial projects, specifically focusing on heavy industrial plant and equipment, piping systems and related structures. Responsibilities will include designing and creating detailed mechanical drawings and models using Solidworks and AutoCAD software.

Industries covered include Industrial Manufacturing, Pulp & Paper, Forestry, Chemicals, Energy and Renewable sectors. You will be tasked with designing and draughting a range of industrial and heavy industry related projects to exacting client requirements. You are expected to have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, with a particular emphasis on designing and drafting for heavy industrial applications.

Experience in working with plant and equipment commonly found in industrial setting, such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, pipes and tanks is required. Your expertise in designing piping systems will extend to layout, sizing, and specifying appropriate materials and components. You will familiar with designing platforms, walkways, and other supporting structures necessary for the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Your skills and experience: Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Technology or with significant aligned experience 7 years Solidworks design experience with a range of mechanical, industrial, piping, or manufacturing related projects Working knowledge of local NZ and international industry standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and safety in your design Confident designing and developing robust and efficient mechanical solutions for industrial projects Proficient producing P & IDs, Isometrics, general and plant layouts Current unrestricted work rights for NZ The role will see you working independently and as part of a small design team of 5 as part of a larger engineering and advisory consultancy.
