About the role In this Desktop Technical Lead Role, you will be based in our Newmarket Head office where you will lead the technology within the Digital Workplace Services Team, through project delivery, support, and guidance. Along with: Driving the technical strategies and advancements of our desktop systems, ensuring they align seamlessly with our organizational objectives and Optimizing our desktop and mobile solutions, emphasizing efficiency, security, and reliability Providing strategic insights toward modernization, leveraging automation tools and innovative approaches to streamline operations and enhance user experiences Providing technical support, mentor team members, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Who we are looking for You will be an experienced technical leader with extensive, progressive experience in desktop engineering, and preferably have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Along with: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with desktop / mobile operating systems (e.g.

, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and emerging desktop and mobile technologies. Mastery of endpoint management tools (e.g.

, Microsoft SCCM, Intune) to automate and streamline desktop management. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.

, PowerShell) for automation, optimization, and troubleshooting of desktop configurations. Advanced understanding and implementation of security principles, practices, and tools for securing desktop systems, including endpoint security solutions. Proven experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Teams meeting room systems within an enterprise environment will be beneficial.

Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent are highly desirable.
