Our Opportunity North Island Transport Manager is responsible for GFNZ's national freight requirements to ensure an efficient and cost-effective transport strategy is delivered across the Network. Your accountabilities will be: Participate in preparing the relevant expense budgets for your areas Monitor, record and manage actual expenditure versus budget Investigate negative and positive variances, identify causes and implement corrective actions where necessary Identify opportunities for reducing/eliminating cost Ensure all SH&E requirements are completed Develop and implement improvement processes Ensure continuity of freight services in your absence Implementation of Improvement Projects within agreed timeframes Assume responsibility for service levels to all customers Ensure appropriate levels of communication to both internal and external customers are achieved and responded to within agreed timeframes Service delivery performance is maintained at a high standard, ensuring DIFOTIS targets are consistently achieved, or exceeded Primary contact for Transport and network issues within region of control Quarterly reviews with Regional Owner Drivers Monthly review with regional 3PL suppliers About you: NZ Road Transport Law Management experience Able to influence employee/contractor behaviour Experience in Managing a P & L Experience in Road Transport Operation Contractor Management At least 5 years Supply Chain/Logistics experience in a Supervisory or Leadership role Knowledge of Goods & Service Licence Leadership Capabilities Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, SAP Growth Mindset sees possibilities, embraces challenges, learns from mistakes, and persists in the face of setbacks Think Strategically Understands our business and aligns Deliver Results, Deliver Fast Executes goals with urgency Empower and Grow our People Contributes to a great workplace; is self-aware and committed to own growth Leverage opportunities to transform Embraces opportunities for change and innovation Wha.
