Edgewater College is a co-educational, state secondary school in Pakuranga, Auckland, offering a future focused, strength-based curriculum from Y9-13. We serve a diverse urban community with students from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds. We are looking for a passionate and inspiring teacher to lead Numeracy Teaching and Learning across our school.
This will involve co-ordinating our NEDGE programme of Numeracy, Futures and Financial Literacy, and Digital Technology, and tracking our students towards gaining their NCEA Numeracy qualification. This position would be suitable for either primary or secondary trained teachers. Our school values of mia | courage, manaakitanga | care and manawa reka | curiosity underpin our teaching and learning, and your ability to teach based on these values as well as culturally sustaining and restorative practices is an expectation.
We are a 1-1 device school so the ability integrate meaningful e-learning is also essential. There is also the possibility of teaching across learning areas within our EDGE innovation programme. Please state your interest in your application.
