If so, we have an exciting opportunity that awaits you Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We are looking for a Nurse Educator to join us in the Professional Development Unit. Our vision is "Leading Education for Quality Care" and our mission is the advancement of nursing and midwifery practice, facilitated through workforce development and clinical education initiatives.
The purpose of this nursing leadership role is to respond to variances in clinical education needs and facilitate learning for nurses working where peri-operative nursing care is delivered in our region. The role also facilitates the learning experience for students and new graduate nurses placed within this service. The successful candidate will work in partnership with a team of dedicated and experienced nurse educators and clinical leaders to plan, implement and evaluate responses to learning needs, as well as participate in organisation wide nursing education and development initiatives.

Mu | About you Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role: Demonstrated ability to guide others in applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi to improve health outcomes and equity for Mori.
Demonstrated ability to guide others in applying principles of cultural safety in practice. At least four years post registration experience in a relevant field of nursing (e.g.
renal). A proven record of facilitating and assessing learning for individuals and groups in clinical practice. Expert level on PDRP or proficient with demonstrated ability to transition to an expert/senior level.
Excellent communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills. An adult teaching and assessing qualification, such as a preceptorship or adult education qualification. Evidence of successful study at a postgraduate level.
